Orthodontic Event Jan 29th - Feb 11th

If you are diagnosed with a malocclusion (crooked teeth) that may lead to future dental work & health risks, schedule an appointment today to discuss your treatment options

Straighter teeth can lead to:

Healthier Gums – Invisalign® aligners are removable so patients can brush & floss normally which can help prevent periodontal disease & tooth decay. Research has shown that gingival health may improve during Invisalign treatment.

Easier Cleanings – The chances of having plaque retention, tooth decay & periodontal disease can be reduced with properly positioned teeth.

Less Stress – Properly aligned teeth are less stressful on the supporting bone & provide better function. Invisalign offers an alternative to aggressive, restorative solutions for orthodontic problems.

Ragnar Relay - Las Vegas 2011

Last month Dr. Gearin, Ashley and Kimberly participated in the

Las Vegas Ragnar Relay.

It's a 188 mile, 2 day race from Lake Mead to Red Rock.  It's ran relay style with a team of 12 runners.  Each runner ends up going about 13 - 17 miles throughout all hours of the day and night!

They were each on different teams this year, but maybe next year we'll have a TEAM GEARIN!

Congratulations to our team for completing this challenging race!

Here are some pictures from the event.

It's EARTH DAY! Here's how you can help out, while brushing your teeth!

Did you know that if you leave the water running when brushing your teeth you are wasting approximately 5 gallons of water? Sounds small but consider this: If you are brushing twice a day as recommended by your dentist, you are wasting 10 gallons of drinking water in one day; 280 gallons over one month; 3360 gallons over one year! A family of four would use the equivalent of a 24' round above ground swimming pool: 13440 gallons of water just brushing their teeth!

This Earth Day, try to remember to recycle your plastic mouthwash bottles. When it is time to replace your worn out toothbrush or denture brush, consider putting it to work in other ways, such as when doing your household chores. The soft bristles are great for cleaning grout and hard to reach places. I save my old toothbrushes to clean my jewelery. Do you have an electric toothbrush? After the battery has fully re-charged, unplug the power source from the wall to save energy.

Conserving water, recycling, and limiting the amount of energy we use are simple ways to respect our planet and maintain a healthy smile at the same time.
